August Spotlight: Kyli

Each month, we're highlighting one of our lovable pet employees for you to get to know. We’ll get to see the world through their perspective by discussing things like how they came to live with their humans. They'll give us the inside scoop on what pet life is really all about. 

For August, we have Laurie from our Charleston store. Laurie has been with Dolittle’s since 2016. One of her canine companions is Kyli, an American Pitbull Terrier who just wants all the toys.

Dolittle’s: “Hi, Kyli. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day of playing with your toys to speak with us. How did you and your human, Laurie, meet?”

Kyli: “Just over 10 years ago, she found me through a Facebook post about a pitbull up for adoption.”

D: “That internet comes in handy from time to time. What are some of your favorite things to do? Do you have any hobbies?”

K: “I love the outdoors. I’m always playing with my large assortment of Jolly Balls outside. I also like lizard and bee hunting in the jasmine and rose bushes my human keeps for me. Long walks around the neighborhood are my jam. Killing the squeakers in the toys that my human gives me is the highlight of my day.”

D: “That certainly sounds like a lot of fun. It also sounds like your human loves you very much. What is the best thing she does for you?”

K: “Keeping me as healthy as can be in my older age with a great diet and supplements. She also buys extra large furniture so I’m always comfortable.”

D: “It sounds like Laurie takes great care of you. What is your favorite thing about Dolittle’s?”

K: “The selection of fresh and frozen food, supplements & treats. I’m getting a little older in age, so eating a fresh diet has helped my sensitive stomach greatly. My meals are always topped off with some goat’s milk or bone broth for the extra hydration and probiotics. Oh, and the toys…all the toys.”

D: “Sounds delicious. Thank you for spending some time with us today, Kyli! We’ll let you get back to your toys now.”
